Though I explained that I want my salmon rare, practically seared, she apparently didn't get it. Over-cooked fish, almost well-done, turned a five star review into four stars. And the kicker is, they use expensive sushi-quality salmon! Dan, the affable owner, graciously offered to prepare another filet, but as I'm of the adage waste-not-want-not, I declined. Anyway .... we had a lovely dinner with friends and will return. Sushi is delicious. Meals come complete with miso soup and salad. One gets a choice of steamed or brown rice. Vegetables are crisp. Restaurant is byob. And they're open seven days a week. Look for their silver Tesla Cybertruck outside. If he's not busy, Dan will demonstrate all the ridiculous things the Tesla can do when it's parked! ”

“ When I moved to this area three years ago, I tried every sushi restaurant in the region. Tao One opened about a year later, and I have not been to any other sushi restaurants since. Their sushi is fresh and delicious, their attitude, and service puts the customers first, and the space is small but charming. The rest of the menu is also quite good but I always end up enjoying the sushi because it is just so delicious. ”

“ This little restaurant was great for the homey style it offered. It was very calm and small, with a cozy atmosphere that made you feel right at home. The service was great; the staff was efficient and checked on us frequently. I had Mei-Fun noodles, which were delicious, and I loved that they included plenty of vegetables instead of just a few, as other places would have. However, the Crab Rangoon was not what I was expecting at all. It almost tasted like it was made with a distinct taste of artificial crab; it was a bit disappointing. Other than that, the other options were good, and my friends also felt that the soups were great as well. Overall, the prices were great and the portion sizes were generous. The service was attentive and friendly, making for a pleasant dining experience. I can see myself coming back here for take-out. ”

“ This little restaurant is nice. It's a bit sterile atmosphere dining in, and has a stream of Door Dash types picking up. The servers are extremely friendly and attentive. The dumplings were as expected with a tasty dipping sauce reminiscent of soy and hoisin. The hot and sour soup, is a great benchmark to me. If this soup is really good, it portends favorably for the location. Here it is good. Chock full of veggies and tofu the broth has heat but just a touch thinner than I like. The Tom Ka soup is also tasty, some heat, but looking for stronger coconut flavor. The veggies are very fresh. The mixed sushi and sashimi stands out. Great mix, rice stayed formed. All was just so fresh and really a big portion for us. ”

“ Dined here for lunch after reading all of the great reviews. And I must say we were not disappointed. There were 3 specials featured on a board in the entryway and they all looked delicious. We started with 2 and decided to also order the third. They are listed in the photos. The restaurant was very clean and the service was outstanding. I must say it was some of the best sushi we have ever had. I would highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance. We will definitely return. ”
